Planners are essential.
A very basic skill that we can have to keep ourselves organize is having and knowing how to use one.
I was trained to use planners and journals in high school. In first year, it only had doodles and other stamps and marks from the school and teacher. In second year it was like a scheduler with all my assignments and reminders on it. And by 3rd year and 4th year my "journal-planner" was packed.
From then on, buying a planner every December for the year to come has been an annual event for me. There are so many designs, colors, paper type and now we even have more personalized planners for moms, teens and so on.
Planners are dedicated to prove that time is Gold.
My planners made me realize that I had so much time in my hands. It taught me how to be more organize. To disseminate deadlines. It gives timeline for my goals. And it makes realistic schedules. How and what to write...
In debate and at any job sometimes one procedure doesn't work with everyone else. And so this one really depends on you. Its your planner. OWN THE STYLE.
Why have it?
Since we're in a technological world and when you feel that you want to use your gadgets or phones as a planner then go ahead. But why have one?
To make relationships better - When you are reminded of important dates. Even birthdays of your friends count.
To handle money and resources better - Budget! no need to discuss.
To set and know how to achieve goals - Obvious!
To set your mind at ease - More organized = more relaxed
To have those thoughts written down, so they don't go to waste.
-------- remarks:
for 2012 - I have a Starbucks planner which I write most important information about. Its April and I have some things set for until September already!
