Things to do in Baguio and a sample Itinerary

Things to do in Baguio City, Philippines and a sample Itinerary

Oh Baguio... My hometown.

Baguio City is the summer capital of the Philippines. Not because its where Filipinos mostly go to during the hot summer days, but because its where Mansion house is. And way way back, the Presidents of the country held their meetings and agenda in the city. That is why, it is the Country's Summer Capital.

How to go to Baguio:
             a. Buses - I recommend travelling through Victory Liner

             b. Personal Vehicle

10pm to 1:00 am:  @ Victory Liner Pasay Ride the bus
                    Fare: 460 each
It might be a bit late but when you're in Marcos Highway, you can take photos and
enjoy the scenery of the mountains

Early Morning arrival in Baguio. I recommend buying your advance ticket going back to Manila
because a lot of people comes to Baguio and you might not get your desired time of travel
(Travel takes 6-8 hours, with two bus stops: Tarlac and Sison Pangasinan)

Breakfast. There are a lot of restaurants in Session Road that you can go to but I recommend
Good Taste. Cab will be around 60-90 pesos cab from Victory Liner Terminal.

7:30am - Breakfast Good Taste . (You can order for sharing or own rice toppings) I suggest Buttered Chicken, That's their Best Seller.

Again, I recommend Del Prado's Transient House. You can view their prices at their
Facebook Page

On a Saturday, you MUST BE AT PMA before 9am. If Jeepney 17 pesos each. Cab is about 100-150 pesos. Make sure you have your ID, not wearing slippers and no shorts

Parade ends around 10 or 11am

Take pictures around the area, like the tree house and relic point

12nn LUNCH 50's Diner. Maybe around 100- up each.

after LUnch go to PINK SISTERS,. Make a wish! ^ ^, I love the nuns here, they wear my favorite color ^ ^, (This is just across 50's Diners)

Ride Jeepney going to Mansion House. Its where our President's stay during summer. Thus that's the reason why Baguio is THE SUMMER CAPITAL. Supposedly Presidents spend their summer's here.

Its not because people come here during the summer. That's the wrong notion.

Go down and walk to Wright Park Place. BUY STRAWBERRY TAHO if there is a mamang magtataho walking by.

Walk here and take pics.

RIDE the jeepney going to Mines View. No grand pics here, You have to go there and see
it yourself.

Buy pasalubong! Good Shepherds Convent. You can help the nuns with their charitable works and you can walk through the echo village.

Probably done by 6pm.

Go to session road for dinner. Jeepney or taxi: 8pesos or 100 pesos.

I recommend the beautiful ambiance of  *Oh my Gulay*
They are located in La Azotea Building, Session Road.
Meals are around 100 up. There's usually acoustic bands at night.
If you're not vegan don't worry. They have chicken and fish too. They serve their meals
with Brown Rice so you're sure you'll get something healthy.

Other Restaurants:

Meals are around 150 pesos. And they have the best Strawberry Shortcake ever.
