No to Cramming on your/our Wedding Day

I decide stress or happiness. And the later wins. Happiness and Breeze in Wedding Planning! Hooraay!

I completely say no to the conformity of wedding cramming.

And so far here's what I accomplished.

Highlights on the following big rocks:

  • Set the Date and Budget
  • Reserved the Church and Wedding Venue
  • Reserved and have chosen the Photographer and Videographer
And most of all... I'm within my budget! Woohoo!


March 2013
Create your wedding website. Mar 17 
Congratulations, you're engaged! Announce your engagement to family and friends. Consider making the announcement in local newspapers. Mar 17 
Search for a reception venue. Mar 18 
Search for a ceremony venue. Mar 18 
Choose a color scheme for your big day. Mar 18 
Start your wedding workout routine now! Eat well, exercise regularly, and get plenty of sleep. You may even want to join a gym or get a personal trainer to give you some motivation! Mar 18 
Search for a photographer. Mar 18 
Start the guest list. Use the guest importer and address collection tool to quickly build your guest list. Mar 18 
Decide on the budget, and enter it into your Budget Tool. Mar 18 
Need help from a professional wedding planner? Start searching for one now, since the help provided can make the next decisions easier. Mar 18 
Book your wedding planner. Record deposits and payments in your Budget Tool. Mar 18 
Determine a time frame for your wedding date. Narrow down your wedding date to a few weekends that don't conflict with other family events. Mar 18 
Search for a florist. Mar 30 
Search for a videographer. Mar 30 
Search for an officiant. Mar 30 
Having a destination wedding? Check into legalities and marriage license requirements. Mar 30 
Book your florist. Record deposits and payments in your Budget Tool. Mar 30

If you're having an engagement party, start a small gift registry now. Apr 1

Search for a caterer. Apr 1 
Get Inspired! Browse your favorite wedding dress gallery to get ideas for your own dress! Apr 1 
While you are thinking about music, be sure to checkout WeddingWire's Wedding Song Gallery, the largest collection of wedding songs. Apr 1 
Search for a wedding cake maker. Apr 1 
Start shopping for your gown. Apr 3 
Search for a ceremony musician. Apr 3 
Search for a band. Apr 3 
Search for a DJ. Apr 9 
Don't forget to register for your favorite gifts with Kohl's Wedding Wishes and add your registry to your wedding website! Apr 9 
Search for a rentals supplier if you need to rent chairs, chair covers, a tent, etc. Apr 9 
Order alcohol (wine, champagne, liquor) if they are not included in the catering contract. Discuss with your caterer to determine how it will be transported to the wedding. Apr 11 
You can also do this, just have Martha Stewart or the Knot website complete your wedding checklist.
And if you have coordinators, ask them too and merger the checklist like what I did.

Most of all, ask help. Talk to your families and friends to help you with the errands and before you know it
you're checking each and every box.
