Wedding 101 and Do It Yourself Wedding Planning

What makes a good man good.
I had a Wedding and Events Seminar last week.

And there was this one guy in the group! In the whole bunch of wedding he came to the seminar so he could help out his bride plan their wedding and also so he could understand better of how much women feel about wedding planning.

(Yeap, I was pretty sure he was a guy. And he was also there alone. Nope, he was not lost or anything.)

Clearly I am not the person to talk about it but this is an article for those brides with hesitations. If this is really the one they want to marry. And no other person can answer that but yourself.

But let me calm your mind and revert you to a perspective. As women we were trained by society and promised by our parents the best. And when we get our guys we also expect the best for them. But frankly speaking these men are just human just like us. On their imperfect state and admirable personalities. Just like us. Just like you and me.

So if your groom to be has done something irritating today remind yourself that we are all human and who are we not to forgive. Give the man a chance and a little credit. Remind yourself of his good traits. Does he make you happy and is he the one you want to wake up with every morning for the rest of your life. Then if so, lets be realistic ladies. Let's not give high expectations.

However, I do want to remind future brides that this situation would be different if a man is into abusive words or actions. If the man is a womanizer and so on. Then don't hesitate to get out of the situation ask for help from family, friends or authorities.

Nonetheless here is a simple prayer I have for you:

I pray to God for the men to step up and for us ladies to allow them step up. God is gracious and good. We are made differently and we are made to compliment. Its not easy to accept disagreements, but I pray that we all be able to work it out. As a couple, may we find teamwork and as a woman of that Godly relationship may we embrace our roles. May we be a good helper too. May we be able to support our men in their work challenges. And may we speak kind words to encourage them. May we allow them to be the good man God wants them to be. And may we not diminish them of what they do. May God bless us all to have a kin eyesight to see what we can do to bless our partner and not a judging eye who sees all faults. May we be blessed to encourage our sons to be a good man too, that in the future they may lead good families. Amen and Amen... All this for Gods greater glory and the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Bridal Weight Loss Project
How did I do it?

It was simple: Hardwork

Well I guess that does not sound simple at all. I lost 13 lbs from February of this year. There were lots of running involved, a lot of pain but I'm glad to say that there was no deprivation. I ate enough. I ate what I needed to take with no excess eating involved.

I always advice Brides of this, after the proposal. Work-out.

Exercising a month before the wedding will not work. So start early!

Blogapalooza: B2B Bloggers and Businesses Interaction
Having a Business now a days has its challenges. How you can become unique, how you can catch the attention of your customers and how you can have loyal customers.

And who better to know that feeling than a Blogger. Its difficult to stand out, its challenging to keep people coming back for your blog and the game of having avid readers, that's another things.

So here comes Blogapalooza 2013. A chance to help out each other. Businesses telling the blogger who they are, bloggers telling the world that and bloggers getting some materials and stuff to talk about their blogs.

It was a brilliant idea for me.

This was the first Blogapalooza I went to.

I went alone because there was no +1. Then met a lot of bloggers and was able to spend some chat with WheninManila.com's editors. ha my editors! I do contribute for wheninmanila.com. That's where I found about this event.

It was fun going around each booth and trying to know the exhibitors.

Here's my short Review.

To do: Appreciating your Man
A friend of mine told me:

There is nothing I can say positively of my boyfriend.

Is that even normal? Being someone who you can't think of a positive thing to do. Wala akong nasabi.
Then another friend said, Then why are you still with him?

Ladies and Gents, every person has a positive. Do you agree. Lahat tayo. We may not be perfect.
But we are God's creation. ^ ^. We value positively.

But who am I to attack my friend or the boyfriend. I don't know the entire reason behind it.
But here are my controversial hypothesis. Which I have not told. My friend is confuse about the relationship
at the moment. Unsure of where it will go.

Please let us help my anonymous friend... Your comments will be read by her.

Hypothesis #1. Perfectionism

Senator Miriam Defensor is one of my respected public servants. I remember watching
her Maalaala mo Kaya in ABS-CBN years ago. Her mom was so strict. If she didn't get an exam perfectly she kneels in rock salt for long hours. For every mistake she is punished. I feel for her. But the story had a good turn around, she became very successful.

How to become the best Girlfriend or Wife

"I feel like he doesn't make much time for me"

"I want to get married and he doesn't have any plans"

"He is not sweet. I wish my boyfriend was as sweet and caring as my best friend's boyfriend"

He doesn't know what I want.

He always starts a fight when he disappoints me

and he missed to say he loves me back.

If you have ever felt this way. I did too! Probably your mom also had and so did your friends.
Why is that? What is so difficult in realizing that hey I'm not so hard to please. I'm very very understanding.

#1. Accept that your boyfriend is not Superman.

He is human. And so are you.

It would be great to have the real Superman fly us around the world. But our boyfriend/husbands doesn't come with capes and underwear outside their pants. (Good thing!) When you just met him, he seems perfect yes. But time goes by and you realize he is so, and so and so. And so what! You love him and he comes with flaws and not capes. He cannot do everything for you. But he can love you enough, make you feel special and be the partner where God love passes through.

From Girlfriend to Wife

My Transformation as a Fiance

I am getting married in 25 days.

Such a short time. Do you recall when it was way back 200++ or 100++ days. Days run fast. I can hardly catch my breath. Back then, I prayed for the days to be shorter. So that I ca already be Paul's wife and then its done. I've reached my goal. I'm already Mrs. Paul Bumagat. Wow, even the thought of that gives my stomach butterflies.

But today, all I wanted is to slow it down. I haven't given my ring to the jeweler to be engraved. I havent finalized the program and liturgy yet. And last Sunday, I was just able to add two more ninangs on our list. The funny things is, my fiance was able to secure his leave already. He is a soldier and that takes a lot from him. And to be honest, I haven't passed my LOA request.

I need time. And I need a lot.
