Monster deal

Source:google

Our Department/Team went to Shakeys for lunch and finally tried Shakey's Monster Meal Deal.
Shakey's is celebrating their 35th Anniversary and so they are giving out all what they are (mostly) famous
for on a great deal.

We went to Shakey's Valero which is the closest store we can find near RCBC Bldg., Makati.

The meal is overloaded with a crisp brick-oven baked Thin Crust Manager's Choice and Pepperoni  Pizza. 1 Chick'N Chips Party Pack and served with 3 pitchers of soft drink. You can choose Coke, Sprite, Root Beer and Royal. And it also includes Pasta too, 1 Classic Red Spaghetti and 1 Carbonara Supreme Platter.

(All pictures are below are courtesy of Kaye Liwanag)

I would give an overall rating of 7. =)

Menu (choices and menu book) - It was really nice. Specially that the pictures we're 3d! haha.

Price - Well there were very few pasta and mojos, so I felt is was overprice. And we needed to ask all the time for tissue, ice, etc...

Food quality - Pizza - great. chicken - euw! Crispy but not well cooked in the inside. Pasta was delicious.

Service - Its okay. Food was fast but we we're given just 1 tissue each and 1 small bucket of ice. For 10 people and we needed to ask everytime. Although they we're compliant.

Ambience- Nice. There we're very few people at first but soon a lot of people came by because it was lunch time and the store was near offices.

Fun - Perfect score of 10!

Here's our pictures to prove it!

I'm a proud Army Girlfriend
Life as a Military Girlfriend
Behind every strong man is an even stronger woman.

I am a military girlfriend.I hold no formal recognition with the powers that be.I am at the bottom of the chain. I hold no Military ID card; I am not a "dependent" or parent. The man i love may face unspeakable dangers, and I am at the mercy of those who possess this recognition for news.I understand this and accept this.

I am a military girlfriend. I have promised to be here for him upon his return, no matter how long he is away. People may say I am insane for making such a commitment with no guarantees, but I hold onto our promises and have faith that he will come home safe to me. I know full well that my love for him fuels him in the worst of times.

I am a military girlfriend, there is no ring on my finger that symbolizes our commitment. I hope every day that he will be able to call because a simple 30-second phone call can bring the greatest spectrum of emotions…
smiling with tears in my eyes from so much joy and pain.

My relationship is based on a brief communication where “I love you and I’m okay” speaks more than volumes and gives me the strength to keep going.

I am a military girlfriend. I take no moment spent together for granted. I hold onto every touch, caress, kiss, every word. I have memorized the feel of his skin, his smell, the sound of his voice, and I play it over and over in my mind so that I will not forget. I cry myself to sleep some nights because missing him hurts so badly, but wake up the next morning, brush myself off, and start a new day.

I am a military girlfriend. The events of the next several months hold my life, my love, and my future in the balance. When you watch the news reports, you may turn away and go about your business relatively unaffected. When I watch news stories of the war, I do not see nameless soldiers a half a world away. I see individuals who will be forever changed by war. News of every casualty causes me physical pain and deep sadness, and tears beyond my control.
I am a military girlfriend, not a spouse or family member. When you say your prayers for the wives, mothers, and fathers, please don’t forget about me.

I first read this when he was a 1CL cadet in PMA. I thought I already knew everything I needed to
But everyday is surprisingly harder when he's away and in some days
when he is around it doesn't get any better than the previous.

There is so much that there is and I honestly totally salute all Army wives in the world.

Love is Patient
Love is Kind
Love is not Selfish
Love is Thoughtful
Love is not rude

I am not allowed to post this, but as a message to my soldier I cannot be any prouder of you.

Fave DJs

Jessica Mendoza and Andi Manzano

                  My favorite DJs!

I first heard them when they shouted "Girls talkin about sports" and from then on I was hooked.

I'm not a sports person definitely not (yes, fine, I did Tae Kwon Do but really mostly because of the uniform)

They have good chemistry on their show, its witty, funny and wholesome. And they are both so pretty!

Listen to them @Magic 99.9 at 3pm. or check out their website andiandjessica!

Three Gray Trees Grazing
I grew up in the so called City of Pines...

In the Philippines the same City is the Summer Capital wherein the Presidents use to stay to do what they do
during summers, specially welcoming country visitors on a pine-breeze weather that the city is able to give.

(Well this does not happen anymore but...)

This city is Baguio city.

I remember waking up to crisp smell of pine trees and after school you have to go home straight otherwise the fog can get you lost or surprise to accidents.

And today there is hardly ever trees in the city. Do they even have the right to claim it City of Pines?

or just used to be.

Today the 72 hour hold of a known shopping mall in Baguio to cut down 182 grown Pine Trees will know the courts order whether or not to continue cutting down trees. I feel sad in such an unacceptable thought. Mostly because these trees really
are going to be changed into a sight of a 7 floor parking lot of a mall. Really now?! In a place where most people walk or ride public transportation. Is it worth it?

People are rallying everywhere... But a piece of paper that says Permit to cut down would just end all of it.

They are moving for reforestation and they are selling recycling bags. Hypocrites really. If only they knew the  true cause and value of this 182 pine trees.

Okay lets not be that biased.

On the other side of the equation there is reforestation. Or is it just an excuse to cut down this hundred year old trees? ( I cannot be open to this. Its bogus and crazy. Plant more trees and don't cut any if I may)

The city government is requiring this shopping mall to plant 20 seedlings. But in reality not all of this seedlings will grow. Hardly not 1 of this 20 will reach 20 years old. What is there to realize. And honestly the time to grow for this trees will take a lot.

I remember planting for some seedlings just recently in LA MESA Eco Park

And just looking at this beautiful trees is just a great feeling over all. I just really hope that the leaders of Baguio would realize this. And restore what has been lost of Baguio all this years.

Well to end my blog happily, I would like to share the photos that I have taken in La Mesa Eco Park.
