Preparation a week before the Wedding Day (7 days to go)

RELAX!!!

As I wrote and highlight on my Organizer. Things seems to be going on well and I just need to check on some of the things I have to do. So I am finally heading home to be with my organizer and wedding party.

We have finalized my Bridesmaids look and Dresses. For this wedding, I just asked them to wear cocktail dresses while we provide the make up artist for their look. All 5 of them are going to have their hair in buns to make the Ballerina look.

I also have a friend of mine name Manny Nacion who I have asked to make the board for our guests. Its somewhat similar to these where guests would put their thumb marks in. I plan to have this saved and posted on our house after our wedding.

We have added some pre snacks at the wedding while the Photographers would take our after wedding photos. Our guests will be served Cheese from Italy, Mini Pizza, and some other finger foods.

By now all of our invitations were out for our Sponsors while we had a website and wedding video invite for the rest of our guests.

We have also finished formalizing our flower arrangement. I have certainly saved on cost as my younger sister volunteered to pay for it.

And since we are both working in a different city we also had our pre-nuptial photos taken today.

Wedding Planning 9:27 AM

Wedding Countdown: 10 days

As Katie Perry's song: I've got the eye of the tiger song goes. I think that I got this. My fiance and I got this. :)

Our love story is great. We take care of each other and when we argue we somehow get things fixed easily.

So what's happening now is that I've started with the extra decors for the reception as my added touches. Current Problem: Haven't adjusted the rings. So unlike me to miss this but I think I'll be able to take care of it this week. I have a classmate in my MBA class who has a jewelry store and so I might just give it to her and have my other classmates bring it to Baguio. Second Wedding problem is that I don't have a wedding singer. Haha! Surprise surprise. I can't believe it too. For a super addicted planner like me not to have a singer for the church. haha! My first choice was not available before, and a friend begged me to sign her up for it and last week she backed out but yes still attending. So the first choice texted again and said she can go and then backed out again this week. Well, I'm about to sort this out tomorrow. I'm going to meet the Chaplain and finalize liturgy and everything.

Other than this, I'm expecting fiance's arrival on Friday!

Getting Married in 16 days!
Surprise Bridal Showers

I only did not get one, not two but three and feels like four Bridal Showers. It was a dream.

Thursday

Today I was surprised with a "Best Wishes" Cake (Tiramisu Meltdown Cake chocolate cake from Red Ribbon) from my office mates today and a Grace Cole Elements Indulgence Gift set. For my Honeymoon. Hm hm... Indeed I had a fair share of surprises from people now a days. I also got a "No more Clueless Sex" book by Gail Wyatt and Lewis Wyatt from my friend whom I call Clairebear. Apparently I thought it was just a usual lunch and we really didn't get to document this much.

Saturday

This is the most surprising of all the showers and honestly I was so touched by the effort and their willingness to spend for this. I was not expecting it at all. So it started as a "Supposed Study Night" when in the morning my sister came to manila all the way from Baguio saying that she needs do do some work at her main office.

At 6pm I was told to just meet up near the hotel and my friends would pick me up but no one came. As if they are even testingmy patience. At 7pm I went straight to 24/7 a hotel in Makati which has an apartment type set up. The room was dim when I entered and a loud bang of confetti came in and there were food, music and even a movie playing in the background of pictures of me and my husband. I was soooo surprised. These are my MBA family from FEU Makati.

Anyway the night was field with fun and games.And a quiz bee of how much they know me. And another one was building a wedding gown out of tissue paper. They also gave me some lingerie which I personally love in camouflage.

SUNDAY

Church Day and when I honestly felt pressured because I was asked to be a speaker. And was surprised with all the decoration made by the ladies. Wow, I feel really special this week. Three Bridal Showers.

This one was full of wisdom, you are probably thinking that this is the wholesome shower I got not really. We had our elders and they were very open to share to me what I was expected of and that is to give myself to my husband. It was because of this shower that I think Sex is beautiful. It was designed by God and was meant to be enjoyed by married couples.

They said that in marriage there would be times that a woman wouldn't even want to be but we have to because we are a blessing to our husband through love making. Except of course when we are sick, or we have our period, we just gave birth, etc... A book my pastor recommended was The Acts of marriage.

That night

I had my sister, cousin Regine and Cousin Camille came over. We stayed in InterContinental Hotel for Camille. She just graduated and it was my treat to her. Having them over was like my 4th shower I'm really close to my cousins specially this group and my sister because we are the closest in age I am the ate.
